Bayla Francuz Przedecki was the great-grandmother of Judy Muratore. Bayla had siblings: Avrum, David, Yocheil, and Freyda. Yocheil and Freyda emigrated to the U.S. before the war and settled in New Jersey. Avrum and David perished in the Holocaust. Bayla died from complications of a stroke before the war.

Yurig Francuz, son of Avrum and Doba Francuz, escaped from Klodawa with his first cousin Michael Przedecki. The two survived the war in Siberia and settled in the U.S., and are two of the last surviving eyewitnesses of the German invasion of Klodawa. The two have been crucial is supplying the information about Klodawa for this research project, and have been my inspiration to begin and see this project through to the end. Yurig lost his entire family in the Holocaust.
